Push Bikes campaigns for all cyclists in and around Birmingham. It meets regularly with Birmingham City Council, British Waterways and local transport providers.
Push Bikes presses the council to provide more cycle lanes, advanced stop lines at traffic lights, contra-flow provision in One-Way streets and improvments to warning signage at some junctions. Push Bikes also presses British Waterways for improvements to canal towpaths and cycle ramps down access steps. Push Bikes is an affiliated member of ‘Cyclenation’, the federation of cycling campaign groups.
For the new or less confident cyclist, Push Bikes can offer free training to National ‘Bikeability’ standards.
'Push Bikes' also offers FREE 'Discover Cycling' advice presentations to any community group or club in the Birmingham area, daytime or evening.
Push Bikes members receive a quarterly newsletter and discounts at participating cycle dealers.
