Individual Logons - Frequently Asked Questions

  Q. What are Individual Logons?
A. An Individual Logon allows someone to Logon using their email address and their password. See also Group AccessCodes.

Q. How long do Individual Logons last?
A. Individual Logons never expire.

Q. Do I have to remember my Individual Logon and enter it every time I visit Activity Exchange?
A. If you tick the "Remember Me on this computer" box on the Home Page then Activity Exchange will remember your Individual Logon. As Individual Logons don't expire then if you do this you will never have to re-enter your Individual Logon again.

Q. Can I have more than one Individual Logon?
A. Yes. You will have an Individual Logon for each club or organisation that you belong to and this can be from any number of clubs.

Q. Can I synchronise multiple Individual Logons?
A. Yes you can. Simply use the same email address for each Club and then set all the passwords to be the same. Then when you Logon you will have access to all the Clubs.

Q. Why have Access Codes and Logons?
A. Global AccessCodes are a great way of keeping your clubs private information private without you having to add and maintain a list of your members on Activity Exchange. With AccessCodes all you have to do is to make sure your members have the current AccessCode which you can easily distribute, perhaps in a monthly bulletin or newsletter. By default, AccessCodes expire monthly so that if someone leaves your club they automatically stop getting access to your clubs private information on Activity Exchange. Logons are a better solution if you are prepared to put your members onto Activity Exchange. It identifies an individual and the password does not have to be changed every month which can be a nuisance..

Q. How do you know the email address is real?
A. Email addresses have to be verified before they can be used. This is a very simple process.

Q. How do I get my Logon Password?
A. If you have already been added to Activity Exchange by your club then all you have to do is to go to Get Your Password and enter your email address. As long as your email address is on Activity Exchange, you will get an email with your password. If your email address has not been verified you will instead get an email inviting you to verify it which is a simple step. New people added to Activity Exchange will automatically get invited to verify their email address.

Q. What access levels can go with a Individual Logon?
A. There are four. None, User, Organiser and Master.

Q. What do the different levels of AccessCode allow you to do?
A. None does not allow anything that is not available to the public. User allows you to view Private or Hidden Activities or other content such as Picture Albums. Organiser allows you to do the same as User and you can add content and change content you've added. Master allows you to do the same as Organiser and you can change any content that's been added by anyone and you can alter the Clubs details.

Q. What is the point in having a Individual Logon with an access level of None?
A. This allows Activity Exchange to fill in certain details on Forms such as your Name and Phone Numbers.

Q. How can I change my Password?
A. Simply go to your Clubs Home Page on Activity Exchange and click on "Your Profile". This will allow you to change your password. For Security reasons you will get an email telling you that it has been changed.

Q. What are the advantages to the Club in Individual Logons?
A. Individual Logons allow better tracking of who is adding content in your Clubs name. This can provide enough added confidence to allow more people to have increased levels of access. Also clubs will get more benefit from Activity Exchange by making it easier for members to use.

Q. Are there any disadvantages to a Club in Individual Logons?
A. Yes. Someone has to add and maintain member information in the Person section and you have to educate your members about it.

A. No. This has to be the Persons email address.

Q. Where can I use my Individual Logon?
